Learning with Nature Growing Through Experience
I believe that environmental education is one of the most powerful tools for creating a more sustainable future. When people understand how ecosystems function, why biodiversity matters, and how their everyday actions affect the environment, they become better equipped to care for the places they live, work, and explore.
My programs are designed to make learning meaningful, engaging, and accessible for learners of all ages. Rather than simply sharing information, I create opportunities for participants to experience nature firsthand through interactive presentations, outdoor exploration, hands-on activities, and community engagement. Whether learning takes place in a classroom, on a hiking trail, in a local park, or at a community event, my goal is to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
I work with K–12 schools, youth organizations, community groups, educators, municipalities, conservation organizations, and families to deliver environmental education that is tailored to different ages, interests, and learning goals. Each program is designed to encourage participants to ask questions, observe the natural world, and discover how they can contribute to healthier ecosystems and more resilient communities.
My educational topics include British Columbia's diverse ecosystems, native plants and wildlife, biodiversity, climate change, ecological restoration, Indigenous perspectives on stewardship, and practical conservation actions that people can take in their own communities.
This platform will also serve as a growing collection of educational resources, articles, activities, and teaching materials that complement my programs. Whether you are preparing for a classroom lesson, planning an outdoor activity, or simply exploring nature on your own, I hope these resources continue to support your learning journey long after the program ends.
I believe that every outdoor experience has the potential to spark curiosity, every question can lead to discovery, and every learner can become a steward of the environment. Together, we can build communities that value, understand, and protect the natural world for generations to come.
